CASE STUDY: CLIFFORD CHANCE

ENVIRONMENTAL BRANDING

OUR GOAL:

Creating tailored branded components to deliver a modern and expansive environment for one of the globe’s largest legal practices

THE DETAILS:

Corporation:
Clifford Chance

Location:
Washington D.C.

Project Designer: Gensler

Gensler meticulously planned the expansion of Clifford Chance’s 8th-floor office, keeping employee needs at the forefront while drawing inspiration from hospitality design. Seeking a reliable authority in innovative solutions, Gensler collaborated with Moss to oversee the project, handle specialized resourcing, and fabricate impactful environmental branding elements for the extended Washington D.C. office.

The space effortlessly blends modern design with personalized elements, striking a balance between professionalism and warmth. Our team crafted contemporary specialty signage, including acrylic Clifford Chance dimensional letters and laser-etched wall pieces in the office’s Innovation Hall. We also produced sleek glass graphics and privacy film for conference rooms and selected offices, promoting successful collaboration in dedicated focus areas.

Gensler incorporated personal touches to instill a sense of community and pride in the office, exemplified by the “Heritage” wall display. A notable challenge we faced in crafting this display was creating a hinge that allowed plaques to flip horizontally from left to right. Our solution involved leveraging sturdy 3D-printed hinges developed through rigorous research and development. Furthermore, we collaborated with a skilled metal partner to produce door handles with a unique “DC” design.
