Housing a mix of our classic retail products and custom-made pieces, NOBO Dispensary entered the Illinois market in a contemporary and elevated new space that welcomed shoppers with a polished, nature-forward interior. Our team worked closely on this project with Studio 36, a design studio with extensive experience in the retail and cannabis industries that focuses on fusing elegance with sustainable design solutions.
The project began with an initial shipment in late summer and continued through early winter, coordinated with the general contractor and site readiness to support ongoing construction. We fabricated a range of core retail items for the environment with many of our products, including four 100mm Illuminedge™ lightboxes and seven 30mm non-illuminated frames featuring Sustaina BarrierTex SEGs. Sustaina BarrierTex is a 60% recycled polyester blockout fabric and is our most popular sustainable material in our portfolio; over 62,000 yards of it have been produced by our team in the last year alone. In addition, the store walls are lined with custom vinyl wallcoverings displaying mountain ranges, geometric patterns, and the NOBO logo, associating both natural elements and modern design with the NOBO brand identity.
A standout feature piece in the store is the striking chandelier, which has a seven-foot diameter and is built with Moss black powder-coated extrusion framing. Mounted between the framing, oversized acrylic letters, fully wired by our lighting team to ensure optimal hue and brightness, are attached to clear acrylic panels, creating a floating effect.
Through dynamic graphics, refined metal elements, and expertly integrated lighting solutions, we delivered on the client’s design intent, creating a sleek, visually impactful dispensary retail branding experience that continues to be enjoyed by both shoppers and staff on a daily basis.
