Fabric Options

Each fabric has unique qualities and performs differently in various environments. When discussing your project please let your Account Team know where and how your pieces will be used. Fabric sample books are available upon request.

Consider

  • Impressions - What is the look you want to achieve?
  • Graphic & Lighting - Do you require graphics or lighting
  • Durability - How long will your project be installed? Will it be taken down and set up multiple times - if at all?
  • Flame Retardant & Sprinkler - Moss issues a Flame Retardant certificate for all fabrics, but some environments have specific requirements.
  • Green - Moss offers several green fabric options that include recycled content or are bio-degradable.

Fabric Type

The look of the final piece is greatly affected by the fabric type. The fabrics Moss offers fall into four basic categories: Solid, Mesh, Sheer, and Stretch.  Moss can print your graphic on most fabric types. In our Fabric Effects line, Moss also offers a wide variety of specialty fabrics with unique properties.

Solid Fabrics

Solid Fabrics offer the most opacity and many of these fabrics accept projection or backlighting. There are many colors and textures available within this category. Graphics on these fabrics really pop.  Examples:

  • Moss Knit
  • Stretch Glow

Mesh Fabrics

Mesh Fabrics allow glimpses of light or internal framework to be exposed. Often Mesh Fabrics are required for ceiling canopies to accommodate sprinklers. Mesh Fabrics allow an open and airy feeling.  Examples:

  • Mesh Stretch
  • 3/8 inch Mesh

Sheer Fabrics

Sheer Fabrics are ideal for creating a light and airy feeling, as the eye travels through the wall and beyond, creating the illusion of a much more open space. Examples:

  • Sheer Stretch
  • Flag Cloth Open

Stretch Fabrics

Stretch Fabrics are ideal for compound or organic shapes allowing interior framework to push through the fabric. Stretch fabrics are also often used for the back side of structures for an easier fit.  Examples:

  • Performance Stretch
  • Green UltraStretch

Green

Moss® offers green versions of several of our standard fabric offerings.  Download our Green Fabrics Comparison Chart below for details about each style.
