FAQ

How do I get a quote?

Moss provides a quote before any project begins. The Project Service Manager (PSM) needs dimension drawings, renderings, and an example of the artwork to prepare a quote for a custom project. Quotes are usually returned within 24 hours.

What is a typical project timeline?

Once you have received a quote from Moss and decide to buy:

  1. Your Project Service Manager (PSM) will send you a work order acknowledgement detailing the specifications of your order such as fabric and frame type, if the order includes graphics, the ship date, and the price.
  2. 50% deposit is due with signed order acknowledgement.
  3. Artwork is due immediately. Download an art template to help prepare your art. Moss provides a graphic layout with every job for customer approval prior to printing.
  4. For custom orders, Moss sends a drawing to confirm dimensions and construction details.
  5. Remaining 50% payment is due prior to shipping.
  6. Once your project has shipped, shipping confirmation and tracking numbers (if your order was sent via FedEx or UPS) will be emailed.

What is your lead-time?

Lead times vary by product. Some products, such as banner stands and printed graphics can ship as quickly as 48 hours. Most standard sizes from our Shapes line ship in 3-6 days. Custom projects take more time - 7-10 days, or longer for more complex projects. Lead times begin after Moss has received useable artwork.

Do you have products available for rent?

Yes! Moss has the largest inventory of fabric products available for rent - hanging signs, walls & panels, walls from the EZ Fabric Wall System™ and more.  With the addition of the Pink rental product line, we also have many options for event decor appropriate for stage sets, entryways, temporary ceilings, and more.

We have rental depots across the country in New York, Chicago, and Las Vegas. Standard rental terms are 7 or 30 days.

I need a replacement graphic- do I need to send back the frame?

Moss can typically provide replacement graphics without a returned frame. Moss uses computer-aided patterning techniques and saves patterns for future use.

Does Moss offer Green products?

Yes, Moss offers a selection of fabrics that include recycled content. Tensioned fabric is also inherently green. When compared to other display materials, fabric weighs less and ships more compactly, using less fuel for transportation.

Do you have products that can be used outdoors?

Most products Moss offers are not designed for prolonged exposure to the outdoors.

We offer just a few products suitable for use outdoors: the Optidome, the Display Tent, and a selection of Outdoor Banner Stands.

How do I prepare my artwork?

Detailed art preparation instructions can be found on our Art Preparation page.

Art templates are available for download for each product Moss sells.

Can you recommend lighting for your products? Do you sell lighting?

Moss now offers the Radiance line of fabric light box solutions  that include Fluorescent and LED lighting options. We also offer lighting accessories for many products in our Display Hardware line, Entasi™, the EZ Fabric Wall System™, and Linear Expressions™. Backlighting solutions are available for products in our Shapes line.  We offer a limited selection of battery-operated LED lights and Compact Fluorescent light packages for rent.

Moss' products are a natural canvas for dramatic lighting. Check out our Galleries for lighting ideas.

How do I keep my fabric product clean?

Fabric requires different care than other hard surface display materials. With proper care, your fabric product will perform well for a long time. For information about proper handling, maintenance, and emergency stain treatment, visit our Product Care page.

Moss is proud to have received a BizBash West Event Style Award for the MTV VMA Awards stage set in the Best Staging and Set Design category.  The set, constructed by Moss, was a massive, swooping, towering design inspired by the sleek midcentury modern architecture of Saarinen and Eames. It stretched 70 feet out into the theater seats, making it feel like the audience was practically onstage.
