At GlobalShop this year, it was obvious from both the traditional attendees and new kids on the exhibiting block that significant investment was made into product presentations. Moss Retail was glad to reinforce client relationships with our new showcased capabilities, and to create new connections based on our larger-than-life graphics and trend forecasting that was of high interest to new contacts.
One omnipresent show trend was the demand for lightboxes and backlit graphics, and the germination of many more lightbox vendors. All of them were competing with our single-sided Radiance Lightboxes, but none showcased a double-sided version, which we debuted at the show – a Radiance 200mm Double-sided Lightbox with Illuminedge™ perimeter LEDs. It couldn’t have been a more well-timed launch.
Another buzzing topic was pop-up retail. Many attendees explained they were looking for turnkey solutions to replace traditional retail construction in reduced-footprint non-traditional spaces, or temporary spaces. With our current explorations into these solutions, we are perfectly positioned to develop turnkey innovations using the product systems, knowledge and technical depth existing throughout the Moss Inc. companies. We’re excited to work on these projects!
This year Visual Impulse was re-launched as Moss Retail, informing the industry at GlobalShop that we've evolved and our capabilities have grown. Retailers and designers at our booth saw examples of superb quality graphics, creativity, practical solutions, and precise delivery.
An awe-inspiring 14-1/2 ft. x 8ft. wide lightbox with the image of a siren-like Lady in Blue welcomed (or intrigued!) attendees into our 20x30 booth, a space we lovingly christened the Moss Retail Laboratory. The most inquisitive booth attendees couldn’t resist walking right up and touching the Lady in Blue’s face, testing the feel of the substrate and exploring the image quality, such as the finely detailed strands of hair.
The finale of the show was our cocktail party at the Border Grill. The amazing weather and patio atmosphere provided a perfect setting for our customers and contacts to relax and enjoy the waning moments of GlobalShop 2014. Our partnership with Andres Imaging & Graphics - a Moss Company, Demand Dynamix, and EFI helped make the well-attended evening wonderful for all.
Ultimately at GlobalShop, we enjoyed engaging conversations, fantastic introductions and a significant number of new and exciting projects.
