The exhibit for metalworking solutions leader Sandvik Coromant stood out as a beacon of sophistication at the International Manufacturing Technology Show. Within the expansive and modern 60’x100’x25 exhibit, the design for Sandvik was to be clean, minimal in color and showcasing four distinct areas. The grand entrance led into a large interior space - the largest fabric wall consisted of 9 panels flawlessly engineered, stitched and running nearly 60 ft. long and 25 ft. tall. Beautiful simplicity, crisp lines and powerful exhibit architecture allowed the technology solutions to be the focal point. Moss Installation Services provided assistance to the client, present from setup through breakdown at the end of show. Design/build: Czarnowski
Moss at EXHIBITOR LIVE 2015

Integrating many new Moss products, our booth immediately stood out for two attention-getting features: the bright red fabric ribbon connecting the arches at each end of the 20’ x 30’ space, and the 3D projection mapping screen housed in the rear arch. The ribbon was built using Curv-Edge™, a new patent-pending extrusion allowing traditional aluminum tubing to be mated with SEG-channel extrusion, resulting in a design with both a flowing organic shape and hard edges for its four sides - a combination never available before in tension fabric.
The ribbon starts at ground level at the entrance, then ascends through the front arch to 20’. Attendees familiar with tension fabric were immediately drawn to this feature. The projection mapping screen, comprised of 15 “boxes,” was the backdrop for a 2 minute multimedia feature presentation.
Please also visit the IFAI International Achievement Awards page, where you can also view our submission for the Buckeye, Ariz. Library Book Canopy Project; a snapshot of which is below.
The new 17,000 s.f. library features an Arizona wildlife theme boldly brought to life with our main interior structure, a 40'W x 30'L 3D tension fabric "book" canopy mounted above a children's reading area. Modeled on "There was a Coyote Who Swallowed a Flea," penned by an Arizona author, the book canopy cover is shaped with yellow powder coated Moss Groove™ tension fabric extrusion and panels, while "pages" are shaped via Moss Classic™ round tube construction.
Below the canopy, Moss provided the large sections of printed yellow "book cover" shelving with countertops wrapped in cast vinyl. We also manufactured nested hanging circle signs at 144" in diameter for the large outer signs and 72" for the inner.
